  • When i posted the vid I never expected to see the reaction that it´s had with viewers. many thanks to everyone who has left a comment. Junior and the guys in his band deserve nothing less than our continuing support even if they´re gigging on the other sid eof this life now.

  • Many thanks. Your coment is much appreciated.

  • It's songs like these that makes me wonder why Jr. Walker isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

  • I really do agree. One of the great talents of Motown's Golden Age. He deserves recognition.

  • Grew up as a white boy in Washington, D.C. where soul was king. I played clarinet until high school and started playing sax. I discovered Jr. Walker, bought his albums, played them on the little record player daily, along with the Temptations, Sam and Dave Etc. Got into my first band because I could play "How Sweet It Is" perfectly. I stayed with those guys for 14 years and still can play all of his toons like 1967. I loved him then and want to play them for young folks now. That is soul.

  • It's just really so good to read a comment like yours and know that he was a personal inspiration. Thanks for your words because it probably makes us all feel that we've been touched by his music in many different ways.

  • @mikeamcnamara a real talent and a shame we lost him so early.

  • Saw Junior in Newport, South Wales about 30 years ago...on the bill with Jimmy Ruffin and Edwin Starr. Jnr was a great performer, rolling over on the stage and blowing away like a mighty hurricane. Good times!

  • If I should live forever, I could an would listen for ever to his music.Incredible!! Irreplaceble!!

  • So true. It was made to last and it will.

  • I grew up to the motown sound and believe me it does not go away. To listen to this music today only sound better and better.

  • Thank you Soulmod1967 for this great footage. I remember dancing to Jr. Walker and The All Stars at clubs in the Washington, D.C. area. Of course, the clubs had fantastic bands to dance to this great vintage music of today. They just do not have this great music anymore. The youth of today must really enjoy these posts.

  • Overshadowed by his bigger hits on todays commercial oldie stations that only play by the songs numbers. This song got plenty of airplay when it was released and was a HIT by all standards. Thanks to YouTube for not overshadowing anything.

  • Was into all this stuff , when i was young ! Mint !

  • Do the boomerang

  • One hell of a song
