She got two oscars quite early in her carreer, and she's only gotten better and better since, so I don't see why she hasn't won another one yet. Not that she really needs it, 'cause we all know her greatness, but still. It's her time next year I hope :)

aww...thats so nice of you. I really thought she'd win. But seriously, i think Meryl Streep really don't need all the awards because it is well established that she is the greatest living actress.
Come to think about it, Jim Carrey was right in his speech for her AFI Award, there's should be an award for best actress. And the nominees are...Meryl Streep, Meryl Streep and Meryl Streep. And the winner is MERYL STREEP!!! Anyway, she look beautiful that night. So was her daughter.
