@OurTroopsRule The company you keep is no more perceptive than you are.

A lot of those kids are in Christian schools against their will, or at the very least, would opt out if given the choice. I bet Hitchens got through to a good number of 'em.

@Keldrath when i was 13 and i was the only kid in school not to have a Bar Mitvah, a Bat Mitvah was the new popular thing some girls did, but when my father was 13 their wasn't such a thing as Bat Mitvah, and i remember it clearly because many Jews resented the idea of a girl having a Bat Mitvah, now they got used to it. and no orthodox Jewish girl will ever have a Bat Mitvah, that's still unthinkable.

@IronMan50780 It was his God is not Great tour I believe. He toured the country debating various religious people and invited anyone to challenge him, and a lot of universities and churches took up the challenge. Knowing full well they couldn't win. Hoping they could brainwash their audience against it. Hitchens hope I think was that his words would resonate with at least some of these people, and get them to begin questioning their faith. And no doubt he succeeded.

@MartianSanta It's called a Bat Mitvah.

Great video man, loved your critique, it resonated perfectly.

let's try to create places where people can use reason, and kids can learn a life without GODs. Not churches to worship something, places where people can understand how things work, point out the problems in our society and make people realize they need to be more active to change the world, give opportunity to learn how defeat diseases like Alzheimer and Parkison , instead of saying God wanted that way. Let's stop being like the fundamentalists and argue about the bible and let's move on..

@MegaHussar Better yet, where's the verse that speaks against abortion?
-
Where can I watch the video you're playing at the beginning?
-
@AronRa Problem is that Jewish views on abortion are diverse and not static. It's so reasy for the religious to distance themselves from their co-religious

@IronMan50780 : Perhaps, because the atheist knows that facts, evidence, honesty, and integrity are the same, or should be the same, at any location. Conversely, religious peoples might feel protected or enhanced if they are on "home ground". After all many of these people believe that a place can be blessed and therefore hold special significance and/or power, especially against "evil". Essentially, the atheist is challenging the theist with their very presence in a "holy" place.

Im an Atheist.
Where's the verse which supports abortion? It's an honest question.

@MegaHussar Numbers 5. Read it carefully. One version says the "thigh will rot", which another version more correctly translates as "the womb will discharge".

@AronRa Okay, you have my attention. What's your source for this interpretation though?
MegaHussar 5 days ago
@MegaHussar What is my source for this interpretation? I read it. It's pretty obvious. I also looked up concordant confirmations from the Talmud which confirm that according to Jewish law, a foetus is 'only water' for the first 45 days. After that it is a limb of its mother, specifically her 'thigh'. Knowing that will change how you read the KJV. The Talmud also permits partial birth abortions and explains how to do that.
