16 valve engine?
AFAIK, the 'choke' lever does nothing more than raise the engine idle speed, so it will warm faster. Choke cable on mine is buggered, so it'll always rev slow, but it'll still start.

been told i'll regret not getting the rt for the fairing as i live in mi but i cant get away from wanting the rs. the perfect bike.

Cheers - It's now gone off to a new home. And a nice R80 based cafe racer has taken it's place. I'll youtube it soon.
