not necessarily, Asian culture doesnt work on the fact that you can do what you want after 18 even though the law says so. Its just a cultural thing i guess. Im 22 , i work and i pay my own bills for my degree, however due to being asian, its in culture that you just dont leave home till you decide to get married. I do have the choice to do it but its just not in the culture to do so. Im not forced to stay or anything but all these things have a lot to do with your upbringing ... does that help?

@tomtom2088 but wouldn't singing mean fame and fame would make their family famous so why would the family be against it for. also once you get over 18 your parents cant tell you what to do any more because your old enough to make your own decisions which means if an Asian girl want to sing her family cant stop her.

@Samuel115s cuz there IS NO OTHER female singer who will sing anywhere nd everywhere. Most punjabi families would never let their girls do it even if it means fame. Its all about the family honour. Trust me theres 1000000 times better female singers in punjab. :)
