A top-secret Iranian military installation was struck by a triple blast Tues. Oct. 12 the day before Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad landed in Lebanon. DEBKAfile's sources report the site held most of the Shehab-3 medium-range missile launchers stocked for striking US forces in Iraq and Israel - some set to deliver triple warheads (tri-conic nosecones). The underground bunkers housing the launchers at the Revolutionary Guards Imam Ali mountain base in Lorestan were built to defy sabotage.

Because an earthquake above the magnitude of 10.0 has never been recorded, researchers are not exactly sure what such an earthquake might feel like, although one may have occurred at some point in human history. The energy involved in a 10.0 would be equivalent to a teraton of TNT; a 12.0 would equal the daily amount of energy the Earth receives from the Sun, undoubtedly causing horrific loss of life and damage.

A scale 14 earthquake would nearly rip the fuckin Earth in two. It was probably just a typing mistake, or something like that. The largest ever recorded (and publicized) quake was a 9.5, and I imagine that in itself was massive. a 14.0 is just hard to believe.
