  • @Harry00Long Well, and the fact Gar is a WAY better drummer than lars. But never the less, thrash metal kicks the shit out of anything now adays

  • @vild3r You didn't just listen to metal casually on occasion back then. You bought the records, or dubbed the them as tapes if you were poor. You wore shirts with daggers sticking out of toilets.

    We knew the Bay Area created something unique and never for a second did we take that for granted. We loved that we got to embrace it, and it scared other people.

    In '85 you didn't just sort of like Metallica the way people sort of liked Motley Crue then. In the 80's you couldn't just turn the FM tuner to the local rock station and hear Metallica. Being a metal fan, you had to fucking love it. You were friends with other juvenile delinquents who fucking loved METAL.
