I love the Navy--I joined, finished my bachelor's degree while on active duty, purchased my first home, met friends for life, and learned the value of teamwork. Now as a civilian, I look back fondly on my Navy days that ended just a few short years ago. Go Navy, Beat Army!

so the chaplain portion makes you give blood? please explain lol. I was thinking of applying to navy but as stupid as it sounds me and needles are not friends and if they really make you do that i might not apply lol.

@AddictedtoGeneralHos No, the Chaplains dont make you give blood, medical needs it to run tests, make sure you are good to go. I wouldnt let the fear of needles stop you from joining if thats what you really want to do. I pass out too, but I love my job and it is worth it

I am thankful for those young men and women, but I must say that after R Day at West Point this seems a like summer camp. People are smiling, there are baskets of candy, etc...

The Naval Academy may or may not be the hardest of the Academies, but this is definitely only a small portion of induction day. This station is put on by the Chaplains who are trying to get information on religious preferences from the inductees, so they try to make it pretty chill. Probably the only time anyone acts nice to the plebes during plebe summer.
