The Pine Ridge Project is a collaborative effort between photographer Aaron Huey and artists Shepard Fairey and Ernesto Yerena, taking the story of the Lakota and other tribes fighting for treaty rights, straight to the public in the form of street posters and billboards.

  • I embarked on a similar journey from Wa to N.Y 2010. I intended on walking, but had to resort to my pathfinder instead. With my tag, a hopi swastika with swirling rainbow, petition in hand I hit the road. My journey ended much different than anticipated- definitely worth writing about.

    Arriving home with shattered illusions and one arrest. Knowing it will take more than a sticker, plead my case to OBEY for help. Their response "we can not help" Now it appears they are doing something similar.
