This five minute clip is a feature that appears within our 2009 "EA Sports High School All American" show. The program and this feature were written and produced by John Ledesma in association with Echo Entertainment and Eclipse Television.
Myron Rolle is an All-American football player for Florida State University. He graduated in three years and rather than enter this year's NFL draft he will attend Oxford University as a benefit of winning the Rhodes Scholarship. From there he will earn his M.D. while pursuing a career in professional football.
Myron Rolle and his family are an inspiration to every kid who's ever worn a uniform and is the kind of story that gets far too little play in today's soundbite-driven media world. I just wish we had more time and more money to tell this story with the depth that it deserves. Perhaps one day...

  • Truly an exceptional individual and a inspiration to young African Americans. Possesses world class athleticism and a advanced intellect with a developmental mindset. I am impressed and proud of him as a educator and youth worker even though he is not related to me.

  • guy is gifted on and off the field, cuz of that he should be the number one pick

That's great to hear. Myron is just as impressive and sincere in person as he is on camera. Keep up the good work!-John

  • i did my project bout him and got an A+

  • Hope nothing but the best for him, and with a brain like that - he can more than make up for not being lightning fast, especially once the the NFL is his job for a few years. Go Myron and Titans.

  • welcome to Nashville!
