Apple iPhone WSOD Fixed (White Screen Of Death) Apple iPhone 3G 3Gs Repair

I Show You Step By Step Instructions How I Fixed My Apple iPhone 3gs WSOD. Extremely Easy Fix IF You Have The Same Problem I Did!

I was having a problem with the screen on my Apple iPhone 3Gs. For whatever reason, the screen would go completely white when I put too much pressure on the top right corner. After some research, I figured out this was commonly referred to as the WSOD aka White Screen of Death. I was able to fix this on my phone, but I'm not sure that it will work for everyone.

Needed:
Small Phillips Head Screw Driver
Suction Cup

Directions:
1. Take out the two bottom screws
2. Attach the suction cup to the screen (best as close to the home button as possible)
3. Pop the bottom half of the screen out (you don't need to remove the screen all the way)
4. Pop the screen back in
5. Put the bottom screws back in

Worked like a charm every time for me! Good luck, if it works for you, let me know!

The problem probably came from a drop, but it's hard to say for sure. There is NO FIXING the phone without replacing the motherboard afaik. As far as what tools I used...it's nothing more than a small philips screw driver as well as a suction cup. Good luck everyone, but seriously I'd just get a new phone and stop wasting your time

Yea, I don't think that you're ever going to find a permanent fix that is cheaper than buying a new phone. It's most likely an issue with the motherboard. I live in Southern California

Unfortunately I never found a permanent solution other than replacement. I had tried replacing the screen...which did nothing. After that, I decided it was worth more to me broken than fixed and bought a new phone

Sometimes when you drop your iPhone or iPod in the ribbon cable of the LCD it gets a small crack and when u move it up and down it makes contact so it turns it on!..just replace the LCD not the screen and that should do it!..I fix these devices for a living!..the main key is to have patience!..hope this helps!..
