Dragonball movie first thoughts

In which I have some zen moments speaking about the upcoming DB movie. I mean it's a farley simple story. I knwo it'd be really hard to screw up a story thats 40% fighting 50% comedy and 10% training. Now I coudl understand DBZ as that 60% fighting (which takes atleast 7 hours a fight) 10% comedy and 20% training. But Dragon Ball should be easy to get right......................right?

Yes, there are stars on the dragonball.

Yes, Piccolo is green. Those pictures made him look yellow.

And Bulma has a blue strand of hair.

I too grew up watching DBZ (and, eventualy, Dragonball. Yes, watched 'em out of order) and loved it, despite drawn out fight scenes, rehashed villains ect ect.

But dude, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

Has hollywood ran out of ideas to the point where they're just gonna take the same plot and lay over old property names again and again?

GIjoe, Transformers, Thundercats, Dragonball,

I know it's based on Dragonball, but I'm just saying. I'm happy it wasn't based on DBZ. And even though I never got into Dragonball, I am still disgusted with what they did to it.
