WBEZ broke a big story yesterday when it published a video that showed "questionable police actions" as two Chicago Police Department officers opened the back door to a squad car containing a man, exposing him to what appear to be gang members who jeer at him while throwing apparent gang signs and shouting apparent gang slogans. (You can read the story and watch the video at http://www.wbez.org/blog/city-room-blog/2011-03-22/video-questionable-police-... .) The CPD has announced it will launch an investigation into the matter.
Rev. Dr. Pedro Windsor, a longtime member of the community, Reformed pastor, and anti-violence activist, gave his views on the video and the bigger question of community/police relations in Humboldt Park.
