Candlelight Vigil on Wednesday, March 4 to honor the 145 dogs, including about 75 puppies, to honor the dogs who were destroyed after being seized from Wildside Kennels—a North Carolina dog-fighters breeding operation.
Organizers hope lawmakers will enact change to guarantee dogs seized from dog-fighting operations will have the opportunity to be individually evaluated, rather than being automatically deemed dangerous and destroyed.

Am I missing something? It sounds like these dogs had been re-homed after the rescue, why were they euthanized? And puppies??

Just not right. Laws need to be changed. People who breed/train the dogs for fighting need to be punished more seriously.

sick.. this is just sick. i cant wait until the day when pittys and other "bully breeds" are just like other dogs... and are allowed to just "be".... punish the deed, not the breed! these dogs are the best dogs around... kisses and snuggles and any love you want... i hope people learn this sooner then later..
