Was at the Opera House in 2005, No operas anymore, but concerts and ballets. Was able to get tickets for ballet, Truly memorable experience. French do not acknowledge the play or movie (Weber being English and all). Only thing in gift shop at all was an old dvd of the Phantom with Chaney. Across from Ritz and the Lafayette Depart;ment store. Reporduction in movie is done very well. Do go see it. Omaha, Nebraska

can we enter the Opera de Paris? It is opened for tourist?

Very nice. Brings back great memories though we were in the theater itself alone,quiet as a mouse in there, our guide said tourists normally did not see the theater. I have no idea of why we were the only ones in there.

Yes, if you go during the day it is open for tourists for a small fee. Evenings they usually have performances.

They do offer tours during the day before the evening performances. You will see everything that's in this video.
