  • More likely that they added more flap to slow down to provide forward spacing, then as they gave that spacing, retracted flaps to speed up again for normal approach. Full Flaps not necessary for landing all the time.

  • I just came back from this trip last week! Only i left from chicago! Im going back in another 3 weeks :))))))

  • My guess is that sacpilot is correct. He was probably told to speed up to keep from being overtaken by a heavy jet or to build a better hole for departures.
