"The Last Goodbye" David Cook & PS22 Chorus

David Cook delivers big time on the invitation he made to the PS22 Chorus of 2011 last month to sing with him on his new single, "The Last Goodbye!" This was truly one of the most musically satisfying (and otherwise) musical collaborations PS22 Chorus was ever privileged to be a part of! 2 or 3 more great performances to come from this amazing afternoon, so stay tuned!

Big thanks to David and his guitarist Neal Tiemann and Jamie for making this happen! Also thanks and props go to Mr. Eberle for some additional guitarwork and rock star Marquis on the skins! And lastly, big thanks to Ms. Lisa for her amazing filming on this! Nobody could have captured this unplugged performance on one hand-held camera better!

I love that the kids MOVE when they sing. You can see how much they love singing, how comfortable they are...unselfconscious...it's a beautiful thing. The only choruses I've ever watched with kids is school concerts and the kids don't move much. Don't know if it's being self-conscious or if it doesn't inhabit their souls as much as it does for these kids, or maybe not encouraged by their chorus teachers? But these kids....just uninhibited and amazing! And of course, David Cook is fantastic!

I love when celebrities come to the school, it shows they have real heart and not in it to make money. I love watching these kids. I am originally from Queens but on Long Island, went to public elementary and Junior high school. Chorus and band for kids is an important part of school. It teaches a lot of self-confidence at a young age. These are awesome kids!
