(12) DIY Moisturizing Spray for Natural Hair

Inspired from bornasiatic1, I decided to elaborate on a moisturizing spray for my hair. Works especially well while I have my hair in yarn braids Ingredients as follows: Distilled water or Boiled water Honey Juice from a lemon 2 tsp of MSM powder (don't use too much as it can make hair stiff) Aloe Vera Gel Olive Oil Castor oil Coconut oil Vegetable Glycerin 10-20 drops of peppermint oil 10-20 drops of lemongrass essential oil (use any oil for the scent, I like this one) 10-20 drops of rosemary essential oil 10 drops of tea tree oil 5 drops of EMU oil (a little goes a long way) 10 drops of Black seed oil 10-20 drops of jojoba oil 10-20 drops of vitamin e oil you can purchase these at your local health food stores or online www.vitaminshoppe.com www.vitacost.com

great tutorial, one note though. it's best to add essential oils to room temperature liquids not hot and never boil or cook essential oils.

@islandhairandbody Thank you for that note. When the warm weather rolls around I will make this again. For the winter I remove the honey and coconut oil but pretty much keep everything else and I don't warm it either

I make my own moisturizing hair spritz. it truly makes the hair grow fast. I keep it simple. purified water, olive oil, castor oil, aloe vera gel, vegetable glycerine. and essentials of your choice... shake well before each use. it works great keeping hair so soft and thick.... peace and blessing.. enjoy.
