very interesting video! common people would have to buy new pants. anyway, that was a simple bird strike, though there was fire. engines can still work with bird strikes and for caution the pilot returned.

Must turbofans are tested for bird strikes and must be certified by the FAA as a reliable engine after a bird strike. As a safety precaution you would want to land though because the plane is full of fuel to combust and a lot of people to kill.
