Rocksmith Game Review

I decided to review this game after a friend was a little hesitant to buy the game. I thought I would share my thoughts. Rocksmith by Ubisoft teaches you guitar by providing you with an entertaining way to learn. Most people give up after being frustrated, but with this game you can go at your own speed and practice in your home while still feeling you're with a band. It's a great game/tutor in my opinion.

@LukeiAmYourFather12 yes, this really isn't a "game" as much as a tool to have a fun way to practice and get better at guitar. The more you play, the more practice you get. The more practice, the better at guitar you get.

ive never picked up a real gutiar in my life other then just strumming and fooling around. i love music and always have wanted to spend so much time and effort in going to a tutor. Would you think this would be a good buy? also does it teach you anything about reading tabs and tuning?

Would you recommend this game for an intermediate guitar player (of about 5 years)? Would it be good practice/fun or is it basically just a tutor like you said in the description?

@Brandooooooooooo yes I would recommend it. It makes practicing fun rather than seeming like it is a chore.

I really like the game. The songs could be better, but UBI even said the songs were picked because they all build on the learning progression. I think the mini games are a blast to play. Now if I could get past these sore fingers..LOL

Awsome game!! Lots of add on content! Loads of good songs . Not to easy but not to hard at the same time . It's only going to get better over time!

i dont like it it way way way way to fast for me like the first hour its giving me every note it has and i can baraly get the first 2 strings

rockband 3 has its own pro system that you can use a fender mustang (fake guitar with real frets and strings) or buy their fender squier stratocaster

The game teaches techniques better than the instructional materials included with my guitar.
