@swimswet You mean Little Beaver? Not sure if he wrested in the AWA; but in the WWF, he was best known for being squashed by King Kong Bundy at Wrestlemania 3.

These pro wrestling organizations sound like eye charts...lol. I remember my father used to watch AWA. He watched any pro wrestling tv show no matter what it was. WWF, NWA, AWA, IWCCW, and so on.

Anyone know of more of the Cowboy Lang vs Little "anyone" ? Best little guy hero! My kids like him too.

Out of the aforementioned, I have not seen GWF or Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. And yes, I did also use to watch USWA Presents Legends of Professional Wrestling on ESPN, but not until I was five. I did not see WCW on TBS until I was five either, but I did watch NWA on TBS when I was three. I have watched WWF on USA, Fox, ABC, and The Main Event (later Saturday Night's Main Event) since I was two and occasionally watch WWE on USA and ECW on Syfy today. I do watch reruns of AWA on ESPN Classic.

Thank you for posting this, it instantly teleported me back to the 80s and that's a good thing. Back then it seemed hardly anyone knew about the AWA as the WWF/NWA were so dominant, but I was paying attention. One particular night I watched an AWA special on ESPN and it was several hours of the best wrestling I had ever seen. Why was it so good? Because the focus wasn't on fireworks or hype, it was on wrestling.
