  • Kendo was of course holding back in this one, all the professional wrestlers only went on all four cylinders with other professional wrestlers in the ring, someone not properly trained could be seriously injured in the ring in a real wrestling bout, especially with the likes of Kendo, Haystacks, Big Daddy, Mark Rocco etc, they were all big and powerful men that could kill or damage someone without even meaning too.

  • He's a game old sort is Greavsie. After all if Kendo had the hump that day he could have slaughtered him so nice one for having a go.

  • jimmy is a great sport

  • Now Saint, I've just had one of the shittest days of my life, but to find out this exists makes me happy to be a member of the human race.

  • his tv show with ian st john was on next to the wrestling show - hence the cross promotion.

  • This was a charity bout - about the time British wrestling was taken off the screens.

  • I think he was off the booze then

  • hpy999 -You Dickhead. Greavsey did it for a laugh, not for the money bonehead, or certainly not money for him, charity yes Jimmy Greaves would do that.. Jimmy Greaves and Malcom MacDonald (Supermac) are the gratest goalscoring inside forward and centre forward respectively of my lifetime to date. Closely followed by a couple of unsung scorers of bagfulls of goals in Kevin Hector of Derby and Bobby Tambling at Chelsea.

  • It's sad that Jimmy had to do this, apparently for money. He came before the big money in the game and this is what he is relegated to. Yes, sad because of the respect I have for one of the two greatest centre forwards in English football. Only Tommy Lawton might have been better.

  • Good ol' Jimmy
