theyre making profit from the ppl in europe that buy is , they make loss on a console bot for just over 400 dollars , we europeans have to pay 400 euros , thats about 600 dollars !
But that doesn't address the power and heat issues (and the resulting greater fan noise), the lack of 7.1 channel audio out, SACD support, or that as a Blu-ray player it looks weird and even a bit tacky with chrome-plated plastic. It's a game console that plays Blu-ray, but that makes its processing power overkill if you just want a Blu-ray player. It's a good deal in terms of processing power, but that's because Sony takes a loss on it hoping to make money on game sales.
The PS3 uses a lot more power and generates more heat than a stand alone player, and has no support for an IR remote, so you can't use most universal remotes to control disk play on a PS3.
1.1 is not compatable with other specs like 2.0 and other future updated discs and is not always backwards compatable.why would you want the trouble with a blu ray spec that does not know what it is yet.thats why i prefere hd dvd over my blu ray player as atleast hd dvd is a finished product
how much??
