  • Hi, I know it's an old video but it's a lovely bike! Do you know if they/or you/whoever wired it all up, had any problems with the lights after fitting those HIDs as I believe they use CAN wiring? I have to do some elec work to one of them real soon, any help would be great! Thanks

  • @MrGarbage83 The trick is to add a "canbus helper", which is basically just a relay. It goes straight to the battery, and senses power off one of the headlight lines I believe. Then it powers on a bunch of terminals on the device itself. All gadgets are wired straight to that device rather than to anything that is canbus related. For the low-power stuff it wouldn't matter if they were just wired from an accessory plug, but for the lights and the heated gear, it's the only way to go.

  • @aciurczak , Thanks for that info, I've been looking around and I'm torn between a Fuzeblock with a built in relay, or a Centech AP1 and then just add the relay in. What helper/fuse set up are you using?

  • @MrGarbage83 I believe it's a Centech, but I'm not 100% sure (SJ BMW set it up before I even picked up the bike).

  • Brilliant bike well done.

  • @KevToon61 Thanks!
