  • the fractional laser is the nonablative laser ? and the CO2 laser is the ablative laser ? so Mixto uses the fractional laser + the intensed pulsed light ? if what I said was true then Mixo is NOT an ablative laser like Fraxel re:paire ! so you can't compare it with Fraxel !!!

  • You are incorrect this is a CO2 laser not IPL and is ablative.

  • Sorry but you are incorrect. Both Fraxel and Mixto are ablative but as they are fractional they have minimal downtime, performed under no anesthesia or just a topical anesthetic. That is the true beauty of Mixto minimal downtime, no anesthesia, not agressive but nice results. The majority of my patients are in make up in 2-3 days. My wife had the procedure and was out and about from day one! Her friends noticed her beautiful new skin 3-5 days after her procedure.

  • Works very well for acne scarring

  • Can you combine this laser with platelet rich plasma injections?

  • For what benefit?

  • wow

  • @mbleph Hi Doctor... nice demostration...Do you actually ( yourself) perform this laser to your patients in your office?

  • Hi , i was under the impression that Mixto was co2 so its not Erbium ? co2 is supposed to be superior right , so are Fraxel repair & Mixto co2 pretty much the same , i got quoted a high price from DR who has the repair , now a friend knows a DR who does the Mixto at a few thousand less ? any thoughts

  • what is the essential difference and improvement between fraxel and mixto?

  • that is a brillient theory.

combining platelet rich plasma inconjunction with laser treatment to assist in the rebuilding of collagen.

You made that comment 6 months ago, Have you research the topic future?

  • Fraxel has two types of laser:

1- CO2 ablative fractional laser: its name re:paire, it is an agressive laser, it takes 1 or 2 treatments, it needs anesthesia, it has real downtime ~ 10 days.

2- Erbium nonablative fractional laser: its name re:store, it is not agressive, it takes multiple treatments, it does not require anesthesia, it has minimal downtime.

So Mixto is Erbium nonablative, because it does not require anesthesia and no downtime, so it is like the 2nd type of Fraxel (re:store).

  • but the ablative laser is agressive and performed under local anesthesia with a real downtime, so you did not state that about Mixto !!!
