@Lokeymischief1 it actually started out that way back in the 80's, freestyling meant rhyming to brag about your skills without a structured subject matter. then people slowly started making it off the dome for freestyle battles bcuz it became more spontaneous and that's where the definition changed, and now when rappers spit a verse to beat and people classify it as a "freestyle" some Hip-Hop listeners get all butt-hurt, it really shouldn't matter.
