This is a set of images I put together to complement Johnny Cash's performance of the poem by the same name.

This poem never fails to move me, and the people that have seen this video have liked it enough to ask me if they can use it in school functions, special events, etc. I'm happy to post it again...ENJOY AND SUBSCRIBE!! };-)

  • One side of me hates the bragging of the USA about these kind of things, the other side of me loves it. I think it reflects that everything has it good and bad sides, but to be proud of your flag and nation is something we could learn to do a lot better down here where I live.

  • @stareagle11 You can say that again, my friend. The U.S. is a country of magnificent contradictions, where wonderful and horrid meet and somehow mesh together to form the most enduring and freest social experiment in history. That duality is one of the things that fascinate me most about American history and character. I am exceedingly proud to be an American, and I wouldn't trade my country for any other, but I fully appreciate what you are trying to express. Thank you for watching!

  • I am also proud to be an American and a Veteran. Anyone who does not respect "any" country's flag, especially the American Flag (for me), should be shot! I have always shown respect to all country's flags as well as my own. If all Americans did as such, maybe there would not be so much hating. One woman's opinion.

  • @tex46bec I agree with everything except the shooting part. Thank you for your service, my fellow Veteran!

  • @tex46bec you made me proud, and yes, i also love this country even being a liberal, all i wish is the best for the working class.

  • @juan1974mendez Nothing wrong with being a liberal. American liberalism made sure that the promise of our country would be there not only for the wealthy and the men of industry, but also for the blue collar and small laborers that help keep the wealthy and the men of industry going. I am very liberal in many of my viewpoints as well, and I will never be ashamed of that. I would even argue that liberals have a better, more just way of implementing their love of country than conservatives.

  • Awesome

  • E pluribus unum. Thank you so much for your video.

  • in the history of mankind, there has never been a symbol that has meant so much to not only the people who adore it, but the people who yearn for it.

it is a symbol that "WE THE PEOPLE" can be proud of, and should be flown with pride for what it's people have sacrificed and stand for: ONE NATION, INDIVISIBLE, UNDER GOD. to make it a "diversified" country would be a shame to those who gave their lives for it.

  • u.s.a isnt perfect damn it but i love her

  • As much as i love the flag, i will let it be burned rather then surrender one freedom that is ours in this most free of countries.

  • @tex46bec thank u 4 your serves

  • Cried the first time I listened to this, and I reckon I'll cry the last. God Bless our Flag and the country she stands for.

  • awesome
