That brings back memories. As a kid growing up in Texas, that was one of the countless critters we used to play with. I knew it was a wingless wasp. Actually, there is another ant that was about half that size that also had some white bands, too, and we called it a "cow ant". I used to pick them up by the sides (like you do with a crawdad), till one day, it whipped that ridiculously long stinger around and right into my thumb! Ouch! I'll never forget that sound they make. Thanks for posting!

Those damn things hurt extremely bad... one got me good at the age of 7... and it sounded just like this one in the video... That has got to be an ant from the devil!
