Here is a Live TV studio version of 'The Kids Are Alright'. www.myspace.com/thepleasersmusic 'What's On' is presented by the late great Tony Wilson who pays a fitting tribute to The Pleasers and their refreshing style of Rock / Thamesbeat music. The show kicks off by advertising the bands up & coming gig at Rafters in Manchester back in 1978. www.thepleasers.co.uk

I found myself standing next to Paul Weller at a Pleasers gig back in the day and, after their set, asked him what he thought of them. He paused for a moment, shrugged and said, "They're alright. Sound like The Beatles though, don't they?".
It was a fair comment mind, especially the songs on which Bo, the bass player sang lead.
Bo sounded uncannily like John Lennon at times.
Ironically, covering an early Who song here, they sound fairly similar to early Jam material!

Shouldn't they mention that it's a Who-cover? People can get confused. Those that don't know, that is.
