@We1zy12 That's because they had a tournament, the winner of the Luger/Yokozuna match would face Bret in the main event. That's why Bret/Owen was the opener.

Bret Hart won the Royal Rumble 1994 because says: last superstar in rumble will receive a championship match & advance 2 the MAIN EVENT at Wrestlemania 10 & even though both superstars won the rumble & in main event, Bret Harts match was the Last on the match card

where did you hear that? i really doubt that luger was supposed to be champion. i am sure they floated it around, but luger did not have the crowd as much as hart did at the time. and at that time wrestling was doing poorly. plus face v face was not something they did often. hart luger as face v face was not going to happen. they gave luger a huge face push, but the fans did not respond well enough to give him the title at the time
