Flexibility exercises and strength training combined. Sometimes it is quite boring to stretch and work out separately, so I thought I'd show you some of my combo-exercises, benefitting both things at the same time. Saves you time and also, it can make your workout routine a lot more interesting. Only bodyweight exercises in this video, so you don't need dumb bells or anything. Most exercises are more or less advanced, but you can definitely do them, maybe not with full splits.
Ideal for martial artists, XMA trixers, freerunners, traceurs, acrobats, gymnasts, bboys and the like.
To round the video I added some freerunning moves of me in the end.

  • @NobleJoyous Your genetics are irrelevant actually. It might facilitate stuff but what really matters is your power of will. Do you want to do it? Then why are you on youtube reading this! back to training! I just came back from my stretch lol ;P I started as a brick man and I am now pretty flexible all round

  • Dumb, I was not flexible at all, but as soon as I got into breakdancing I knew I needed a lot of flexibility. I agree with kinglennyone, you need to be passionate enough to get the results you want. You can't just get it right off the bat. How dumb is that logic..? Almost everything in life is gained cumulatively and to say that it was from genetics is absurd. I could never touch my toes until 3 months in breakdancing. Now I'm aiming for splits for my nikes and pikes.

    You can train for the rest of your life, but you won't be able to do this!

  • @j4allen Yes, if you want that kind of flexibility you need to be re-born with great genetics for spinal alignment and flexibility. Hot yoga, foam rolling, deep tissue massage, frequent stretching every few hours, avoiding wheat and milk (mucus foods)... blah, blah, blah - all that helps, but you must be gifted with natural potential. Sorry, but life isn't fair with regard to flexibility. Most people - especially men - will never come close to that flexibility even after decades of training.
