MGS Fansong - What Are We Fighting For?

Musical theatre meets Metal Gear Solid. Again!

Written 2004, vocals performed in 2007. All by moi (except I forced my dad to do one or two of the chorus voices, he was the only guy around at the moment, lol).

I consider this slightly more serious than the Psycho Mantis Song, but it's still a little tongue-in-cheek...I mean, sheesh, I [try to] sing in character. Definitely parodying a melodramatic power ballad. Anyway, yes, this is right after Sniper Wolf dies, and Otacon calls this question after Snake...only in THIS version, he whips out a microphone and elaborates. xD
Oh, and the chorus part, which was added in 2007: I envision a bunch of Genome soldiers suddenly leaning into "the frame" before popping back off; Liquid and Meryl also have small parts (the "Fight for what's right/live through the night" lines).

Fun fact!:
I actually had a peer perform this my senior year in high school; he dressed up and everything and delivered a pretty solid performance! ...and hey, it was nice to hear a male voice sing this song for a change. ^_^;;;

if you've seen the "therapy sessions" with the metal gear cast you would know VERRY well why she would'nt sing anything as snake (David hayter atempts to sing snake eater in the snake voice... not pretty...) though that would be kind of funny to hear a spoken word of snake eater in snakes voice or something...
