Dwarf Fortress.. A Breif and only Semi-Informed Explanation

I havn't gone through the awesome random world-map building algorithms, or how you fish and hunt for food, and how to build some buildings, etc.. theres so much to this game.. lots to explain, including the different skills your Dwarves can possess and stuff... yeah.. ... But there's a lot to this game, I can only do so much in one video!

if you all want to know a little more about what little I know about this game so far, I'll make another video.. if not, this is just for fun, and for explaining the game to someone.

Sorry, but I'm still not that good at this... google for "boatmurdered" It's a Dwarf Fortress Screenshot-style-let's-play that you can look at the archives of the screenshots and what the people who took turns playing did during their runs.

It's an epic failure of a fortress, but it's still fun to read and it gives a lot of insight as to how the game works.

They were using an older version of the game that does not support the Z-axis, and some other new features, but it's still worth a look.

well you should improve the entrance, that entrace is of big danger and is really bad wen talking about strategy, i recomend doin something smaller to assure control of the enemy, also you shouldgive the link for the wiki its necessary to play.

also wen building rooms you shouldnt make entrances like that, the entrance must be of one tile so you can place doors, dwarves like closed spaces

and if i where you i would get a wardog that place will get filled of thieves

i like the game but to be honest its already got to complicated for me and it hasn't even started when it comes to combat but it'd be more fun to see u do it! Your vids are truely epic!
