This is just a short video of my Eheim trolley bus. It was made back in the 60's. I set up a short test track to see how it works, and here is a vid of it. Enjoy.

  • how many volts does it use?

  • @lazbuses The small train transformer I was using puts out a max of 12 volts. I'm not sure how many the bus was designed to run on, but as I recall, it didn't take much to get the bus going.

  • what`s the name of that song?

  • Island in the Sun by Weezer

  • how much did upay for it?

    &

Can you buy extension power cables?

  • i think it was around $100. i bought it at a hobby shop though (not ebay) so no shipping costs.

extension power cables<--- the transformer I was using has a regular power cord running from the transformer to an outlet in the wall, and then 2 small wires running to the overhead. its easy enough to solder extra wire onto the smaller wires, or buy an extension cord.

  • My father was give 1 trolley coach in 1960 and never saw it run.

My son and I finally got the poles and wires and as of Dec 6 2011 my fathers dream came true of seeing this run....PS He drove Muni trolley coaches in San Francisco for 30 years...That's why it meant so much to us! cheers Ray

  • you have to get the poles perfectly straight and the catenary wires tight so you don't get that 'drunk driver' swerving. german toys are so cool. i have an eheim HO cable car setup and some faller AMS stuff that gets put out on the holidays. its got be 50 years old and still works well. i use that red model motoring oil on the drive parts, i love the smell of that stuff burning off the motor! (just like the aurora/faller pancake motors) if you look really closely at this stuff- it's well-made.

  • thank you for sharing this . gives me a idea for my small (3x4 ) layout

  • SPECTACULAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

beautiful, to put a model railway

    greeting
