The only way the BCS will ever be legit in placing the top 2 teams is if the top teams face each other during the season that way the picture would be a little more clearer on who the best is. UF, OU, OSU, USC, and all those other title contenders keep scheduling cupcakes or descent teams. Could you imagine a UF USC matchup during the season. Each of those big teams need at least 2 other contenders on the out of conference shedule.

My prob with the BCS is that it alienates the "mid major" teams. I'm not talking about "who plays in the NC game," I'm talking about the negative recruiting effects that the BCS has caused. I'm a Tulane fan: before the BCS, we would never lose a recruit to Vanderbilt or Duke. Now, the coaches of those teams use the BCS as a recruiting ploy, saying that they are better because they are "BCS teams". I think a playoff should be created, with every conference champion, plus a few "at large" teams.
