Its def not a bad purchase, but be ready for a mess.
Also playsand works perfect for this.
3 bucks for 50 pounds.

You can also use wallnut shells, glass, sand.... anything that will syphon through the hose it'll shoot.

Is it possible for me to use Sodium bicarbonate in this system since i dont feel like using sand or anything really hard.

@davispaul82 i've used baking soda in it a while ago on some aluminum. Works great, just wear a mask and find a spot to leave a trail.

How do you run the lines from the compressor to the hopper to the gun?

@kamikazi117 there's an air fitting on the bottom of the gun that you plug the air into. The hopper has a separte hose that feeds into the gun too. Its pretty simple but i haven't used this in a while. Mostly because of the huge mess.

Sandblasting with sand will cause silicosis. Use proper blasting media and a repirator. Google 'sandbalsting silicosis'

@KawaTriple250 get a storage bin and a clear plexi glass than cualk the screen on so you can see than run sand blaster hose and nozzel in than you have a sand blaster cabinet then you can re use the sand and not have a mess

You should think about having a sanding cabinet , or at least respirator. Silicosis is a bitch .

@CaseyMcLaughalot yeah, you can! I've done my calipers and I'm about to refinish my carburetors. It'll give you a nice dull finish but you'll have baking soda everywhere without a decent blasting cabinet!
