This is Lord Dredmor on dwarvish moderation (medium difficulty) and without permadeath. He has no special movement behaviour and is also stunable, even though he resisted my vampire paralyze on both occasions in this try. Tactics as a melee are to kite him with the crossbow and throwing weapons, because his melee attack is killing you within 2-4 turns. If you're quite far away he's using some kind of lightning-nuke type spell, so get within range. His hiding place also varies in size like everything else in the game, even though the design seems to be simmilar.

Talents:
Axemanship, Dual Wielding, Berserker Rage, Vampirism, Perception, Assasination, Smithing (Alchemism would've been better)

Leveling with this build: Pretty straighforward or boring. Your main attack is the auto-attack which gets improved with loads of randomly executed bonus attacks. With fitting level gear (focus yourself on Weapon damage, melee power, block rating and armor absorption), you should aways be able to oneshot or twoshot an enemy. This is required to survive with only vampirism to heal yourself. Even with level-gear you're pretty squishy though, so don't let yourself get cornered. In total you'll only have 4 different skills to click: getting health trough using a corpse, an axe-aoe attack, vampire paralyze & vampire wallhack.

  • so you just find him in a random room on level 10?

  • @hackedx1

yeah slightly dissapointing isn't it :D

  • how long does it take to finish this?

  • @tjcoke19

Takes suprisingly long if you play it how it is intended, I think it took like 8 hours or so minimum.

  • Shit, he's at lvl 10? I made it to lvl 6 then died horribly. Permadeath is a bitch...

  • @Xkely2000

There's a pretty horrible increase in difficulty around 6-8, after that things became more moderate... Lvl 10 sucks with those archdingles :p

  • @RCVideoDude Wrong. The diggle gods give you stat bonuses, you fight dredmor on floor 15.

  • @simbles1 No, he is still on ten there are just additional levels afterwards with mini-bosses, which are the Diggle Gods.

  • @pec25 Realm of the Diggle Gods makes it better, but what exactly were you expecting, a cutscene?

  • THATS IT!! WOW let down much

  • @hackedx1 that'll be nice for when I face him on my current run, a fire/blood mage swordsman is pretty overpowered when you get blood mage and promethean mage lines maxed out

  • with the new expansion pack does it mean he is now on level fifteen?

  • by the way this guy is insanely easy as a pyro mage just keep distracting him with your wyrm it can take 3 hits
