  • By the way, may I ask who the soloist on this is? She's great.

  • She is studying classical voice at the local academy of music and doesn't want to be named for the moment.

Und übrigens vielen Dank für den netten Kommentar auf Deutsch!

  • Medal of Honor Frontline Soundtrack - Operation Market Garden- That is a great piece orchestrated inspired by this piece here

  • @Eurofrank1

Interesting to have a discussion on a rather dead language and its pronounciation... closest to how (Roman) Latin could've sounded is to listen to Romanian...which in its grammar and vocabulary comes closest to classical Latin

  • @alt3etf

Why do you claim knowing how latin is pronounced correctly?

Perhaps you do some research. You can e.g. easiliy start with wikipedia: "Latin spelling and pronunciation"

And who knows... perhaps you are hating youself then. :)

But I don't want to be offensive. There are certainly different traditions pronouncing the latin language in different countries.

  • The soloist is fantastic. i hate it when people sing latin, and don't sing it correctly. fabulous!

  • I hope through the knowledge given to us by John Rutter! My ears are too selfish .... Hihi

Quality of such hearing, is not it?

  • @Petronyc where in the score does it say it has to be sung by a boy? it just says soprano solo, rutter's version is with female soprano, and the other two versions I have are with women also

  • @Petronyc well, their hard to find^^, they especially keep away from catholic churches these days :D (had to be done)

  • hey, wir haben das auch mal gesungen-ich liebe das ganze requiem =)
