The only possible solution I see is a form of non-compliance which would require many more people than who are awake and that is to stop giving these people money by consuming their stuff (See RJBedard's "Elucidation") and to stop paying taxes, but there are not enough people.

Notice the rapidity with which Reed, Frank, Pelosi, and most Democrats fold. Not one of them but Kucinch, re: health care reform, put up a fight for anything. Not one has done anything re: jobs, re: effective bank reform, re: saving Social Security or Medicare. The deficient committee, 6 Democrats, all agreed to hack away at Social Security.
