Tony Hancock a comic who did not need to swear to make people laugh, and 40 years later still making people laugh . how many comics of today could do that?.
obviously that's a matter of taste but you know what they say about people who are obsessive about their dislike of gays- it usually means they're latently a bit light on their loafers themselves
If you read a proper biography rather than gossip columns it is extremely doubtful that Hancock was homosexual. What is not in doubt was his talent to make people laugh - people with a sense of humour, that is!
i couldn't care less if hancock WAS a nine-bobber (which he wasn't). and if you need proof that no writing is proof against an indifferent performance, check out paul merton's lamentable versions of "the blood donor" and "the radio ham"
