This is an extract from an ALPHA-course (a course in christianity) with Nicky Gumble. He talks about how you practically can proof that Jesus of Nazareth is Messiah, the son of God.

This video is quite old (somewhere in the beginning of the 90's) so the setting and the fashion is quite cheesy, but I recommend You to listen carefully to what he has to say - it's very intresting.

(For all you non-swedes - sorry about the swedish subtitles..)

  • I love how Nicky Gumble's Alpha program breaks it down for us. He explains Why Jesus needs to be in our lives with such simplicity. Check out the other videos. This is for everyone. I recommend that you check out an Alpha Course near you. You'll be glad you did. Thank you for posting this.

  • But unlike all the other religous leaders who claimed they were god he rose from the dead and performed miracles. There were over 500 witnesses who saw him after he rose from the dead.

  • Even if Jesus did claim or imply he was god (a very dubious conclusion given the vagueness of the scriptures), so what.

There have been thousands of charismatic religious leaders who claimed to be god or a human manifestation of god or special to or chosen by god. It only proves such people are deluded crackpots or will say anything to gain attention or a following.

  • "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed"

Well that is indeed true. Ignorant people are happier than rational thinkers. But I do acctually prefer an unpleasant truth before a pleasant lie.

  • Nicky is a crackpot.

  • i went to one of these alpha courses. They are sold as a "come along and find out about life philosophy" kinda way and its actually a way of introducing religion to you.

Anyway, Nicky as nice a guy he is, i disagree with most of his views (mainly because they are "christian"). There are some big issues he doesnt tackle and probably wont because he cant. No christian/pastor has done so far, so it was unlikely he could anyway. Neverthless, a nice guy, he means well.
