my macbook pro makes a ticking/clicking sound when the center of the case on the bottom is pressed. it also makes the sound when it is picked up. the laptop is off in the video, so i don't think that it is a hard drive click.

  • Reggie, my grammar correction aside, I appreciate your reply and recommendation. I'm not sure if Microsoft is a better choice. I'm not sure if there is a better choice. I don't know any more about computers than the average person. I just feel as though I have been taken for a fool by apple.

  • @1chabot1 sure thing. didn't mean to come off as an asshole, so sorry if that was the case. nah, i definitely agree that there are a ton of people out there who just buy apple products because of all the marketing crap. lots of those people don't know the first thing about computers, which is sad since they're spending so much money. but yeah, as far as phones go, have you checked out android? i have a motorola droid and i still love it. and there are lots of better android phones out now too :p

  • Sell this shit. Sorry, I'm not a cattle having to have the newest piece of shit offered when I'm not happy with the previous. The only thing keeping me with apple right now is all the music I bought on iTunes. When I'm up for a new contract with AT&T , I'm converting my entire library to disc and getting a Microsoft smart phone and not looking back. Blow me apple !

  • @1chabot1 i used to build pcs, so i'm far from a mindless apple fanboy who just buys the latest product cause i'm tired of the previous. i actually know what i'm talking about when it comes to computers. microsoft smartphones seem nice, but i don't think they'll gain enough leverage in the mobile market to have a decent developer base. like i said, i'm not an apple fanboy, but neither do i blindly cling to microsoft. i just own a macbook. and btw, lossy to lossy music conversion is a bad idea.

  • @1chabot1 oh, and "cattle" is plural. "cow" is singular :p

  • Did you resolve this? I got the boot from apple, they say its a cosmetic defect. My macbook is 75 days old and it clicks as if there's not tomorrow!

  • @wasawasa666 yup. just take a look at jpcyr's comment. that did the trick for me. hope you can fix it :p

  • stop pressing the bottom of your computer, problem solved lol

  • mine does that too. do you know why?

  • that can't be too good...

  • Open your case. Next to the RAM, there is a springy metal piece pushing up against the aluminum case. That's making the noise. Put some thick tape where it's brushing up. Noise gone.

  • sounds like creatures from spore XD
