Chihuahuas are very emotional and sensitive and would not hurt the baby in the family. Growling is just a game the Chi is teaching the baby to play. :)

Thats funny because I have a longhaired chihuahua also named Pico. How did you come up with the name? I got mine from Pico de gallo. I work at Chilis and we just call it Pico. I wanted his name to sound a little Spanish.
