Even though it was your own grenade, the red team guy had shot you prior to the stick so they gave the kill to him. The reason it bounced back was as the bubble shield deploys, anything bounces off. Even if it isn't fully out.

You should've watched Halo 3 Mythbusters by Machinima. It proves that the bubble shield is active even before it's animation.

Ya the plasma reflects off the bubble shield before its animation, but it should've been a betrayal, not a kill. Cause the guy who activated the bubble shield was on this guys team, blue. Meh.

i think its because he was the last person to touch the bubble shield, so when your grenade bounced off the bubble shield, the object was in his possesion (lul sounds weird) thus giving him the kill.
idk just my theory.
