Great entertainment. Wonderful comedy and music. This clip is from a PBS special "The Legendary Bing Crosby." Will we really ever have this kind of talent again?

  • In the mid 60's all the great entertainers of the Century were still alive, it was the golden era of entertainment from Bing to the Beatles from Cary Grant to Robert Deniro.

  • @mrbig3737 You sure nailed it. Merry Christmas. Charlie

  • Is that Rosemary Clooney (George's aunt) doing the introduction?

  • Along with Sammy Davis Jr., these were among the greatest performers of the 20th century. Their rendition of "Oldest Established Crap Game" is a classic. I was fortunate to see Sinatra, Dean, and Sammy live several times and each appearance was full of enthusiasm and excitement. For those of you who are younger and didn't have the opportunity, I am glad there is YouTube for you to enjoy. Bob Umeck

  • Holy cow, does Frank go "up top" at 3:25! I'm no singer nor musician, but I don't know if I've ever heard him sing a note that high before, and he has absolutely no trouble with it. What a great find this vid was, thanks for posting it!

  • @spamforbobby Frank could hit high notes when needed and his upper range was always better than people realized, even during the 60's when his voice started to deepen.

  • Thank you so very much for the video! Boy, now THEN was an era TOO, eh?

    pondering..

    1. In hindsight and eons later, it's amazing how things change..and yet, some things don't.

    2. LOVE & LAUGHTER STILL feel most awesomely WONDERFUL!

    3. May we each feel "most awesomely wonderful" at least once every day and God bless.

  • @spamforbobby

I was surprised when Frank hit that high harmony, too. I had to watch that section over again to make sure that I was really hearing what I thought I was hearing.

  • Bing Crosby - simply the greatest!
