@AdamskiNior Thanks alot mate, astronomy is something that has always truely fascinated me. Because the more we learn the more questions we ask in the search of knowledge.

Angry boys theme? WHAT!?
-
@SJVFX It's from the opening song of a programme called "Angry Boys". Epic TV series.

@JASONMOORE87 It was only fifteen years ago scientists said planets could not, EVER exist outside of our solar system. Until two Swedish men found the first one (51 Pegasi b, unofficially dubbed Bellerophon) in October 95. So if they were wrong about that, what other 'facts' are up for question? Nothing can trravel faster than the speed of light, apart from those particles that were on the news last night.
Suddenly, new elements don't sound all that far fetched.
Just sayin'

@thug4lifes ya that's the movie, I know the reason as to why the planet is dark is different but that was the first thing that popped into my head
-
@brandoman79 you mean pitch black?
-
I don't really understand, what's special about a dark planet?
More elements? Not possible. We have made every type of element and isotope possible by particle accelerators etc.

@MilitaryMan006 I understand your reasoning and logic, if i was talking just about earth. Because if there is any unknown elements they would almost certainly be radioactive with short halflives. However since we know hardly anything about exoplanets & even then thats only 0.1% of the universe. Closing the book on finding new elements would be a shame, however thats my opinion & i respect yours.
@shitface046 Its more about its unusual ways or not reflecting light, they want to know how & why.
