Finally decided to mockup a very rough "proof of concept" using some scrap wood from my basement. This is a flipper that is powered by an actuator from a automotive door lock as apposed to a solenoid. Much simpler design, lower power. I don't yet have a real pinball ball to test with (one on order), but it still looks somewhat promising even if I am using a tennis ball.

  • @jerriellsworth Thanks for commenting. Yea ideally on the final one I would have a shaft like a normal pinball with an L-bend at the end, and the linkage would connect underneath. My ultimate goal is to build a simpler pinball that runs on 12v or less, and therefore could run off-the-grid (car battery + solar panel). I love re-purposing stuff, which is probably why I like your videos so much

  • Nice. I like how the linkage is on the top. Could be handy actuating from under the skirt.
