This song was performed in Newcastle in 1981.
Brian Setzer was only 22 years old at the time.
This song is a rare pure blues song for Stray Cats, but in this song, I think that the tone and the technique of the blues guitar of Brian Setzer are the best in the world, and this rendition made me recognize as Gretsch is great guitar for not only rockabilly or jazz but also blues. And Lee Rocker's vocal is also great.
Enjoy the song with their old snaps!!

  • Thanks straymouse this IS one of the best songs by Setzer and co and i gotta say in my humble opinion The Stray Cats were totally totaly totally underated and sometimes dissmissd as a joke by so called music critics . Man, me Wormy and Clarky WERE the Stray Cats at school they were gods

  • sean1882, thanks for the comment.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. They were really great, but criticism was not so good.

  • Simply THE COOLEST CAT EVER !!!!!!

  • great great song, although this is sung by lee rocker not setzer

  • then later setzer went on to re define himself again. true lickmaster.

  • Oh ,man.....love these guys as much today as I did 30 years ago.........no way did they get the credit they deserved ....

  • @Letsfookinavit the next night after that was manchester. I had a ticket. i came home from work that day, after a particularly crap day, only for my other half to tell me the ticket company had rung up to say it was cancelled. At first i told her i was in no mood for her jokes..... Would love to see em come back. saw em march 89 in n otts and leeds. Rock city notts - what an awesome gig.

  • @Patsik Glad I am not the only one who can't play worth of a damn after 20 odd years.

  • @sean1882 for sure they were great musicians but was only when they grew up that especialy setzer realised what to do with their great talent... great musics all the way but they never did anything usefull for music untill they got more mature.

  • @cptconfuser The Stray Cats toured the UK in 2004 - I caught them at Shepherds Bush - what a night...anyway, they then went back in 2008 for a farewell tour. However, a few gigs were cancelled at the end as Slim Jim fell off the stage (Brixton I believe) and broke his wrist so they never really finished the tour. However, Setzer has kinda hung up his axe with the Cats. Would love to see them come back again but chances are slim (bad .....I know) as Setzer doesnt seem keen anymore

  • fucking great song from one of the best bands from all times
