  • many of these guys race most weeks of the year and spend more than the average wage on racing and diesel, etc getting up and down the country with a truck, so no it isnt easier than just running and maintaining 2 or 3 classic cars, some of these cars are so 'past it' they've taken 2 or 3 months of daily work to just get to the track, you might think it crazy until you actually try it and like i said half of the drivers own mint classic cars on the road be it a mk1 granada or something much older

  • @RogerHerhard why did u send this message to me, didnt u mean for it to be sent to the other bloke who commented?

  • @nathan0401 i didnt send it to you

  • @RogerHerhard u commented on my comment so i got a message

  • ok fair point but you must also know that there are good cars get trashed to i had a 57 cambridge that was stolen and used on that track it was immaculate 1owner from new it was stolen from my lock up stripped and parts trashed or skipped then raced so please understand why i vent my anger

  • @silkiebreeder if that happened to u then i understand why u dont like the classics being raced, but just because that happened to u doesnt mean that all these cars were someones pride and joy and then stolen

  • @RogerHerhard First I am nether old nor idiotic i own and maintain a few classics This takes time and skill to keep them on the road and in good nick I would be much simpler to smash out the class rip off the lights and chrome weld a cage in it then drive it to destruction by smashing it into other such cars as for parts yes your right i have bought stolen parts before they were marked and when traced back by the police guess where they came from A banger racer enough said i think

  • @silkiebreeder come back when u know what you're talking about 85% of the austin cambridge club (for example) have raced bangers. its only the odd few idiotic fickling old codgers like you that have a problem with racing a knackered old rustheap. cars get stolen all the time cos pre90 cars are so easy to nick, i'm sure you've probably bought stolen parts in the past. Have you checked where they came from. Hyprocritical and dumb comments as more cars get stolen for the collectable parts and scrap

  • @silkiebreeder trust me though, if u see the state some of the drivers get these old cars in u would not want to even start restoring them, some of the old cars in this vid were bought as a shell and then placed on a modern chassis, and the rest of the cars mostly come from a junkyard, so they were there to buy, just the drivers got them first. classic bangers is a big part of the sport, they will never stop classics, they will just bring the pre date up!

  • i stand by my comments Im not posh nor do i consider my self old or boring but i cant see how any destroying something is anything other than moronic todays mindless vandles prob get their insperation from that track there is no classic car club that will ever agree with you and there are many !!! classic bangers should be banned stick to modern stuff there is plenty out there if you must trash something and as for cars stolen for this kind of racing i have first hand knowlege
