We wanted to blow the engine in style, under power, burning the wheels or something, but were not able to. Anyhow this took a while with not that great of a finish.

Well, this is indeed sad, and it shows how history repeats itself (even with the auto-industry). The muscle car-era went through a similar stage... it is part of the reason why some of the muscle-machines from that era go for such big price tags on BARRETT JACKSON today.
In a few years, they will be looking for these FOX-BODY Mustangs. They won't bring the preces of muscle-cars, but they won't be doing this to them, that is for sure!
